First timer? No problem! Want to know if your car can run 'as is'? Need help figuring out what class your car fits into? No sweat.
The Arizona Region has a great Novice Guide that provides all the essential information and more for diving into autocross (hey, they did a great job, why re-write it?). It includes waiver information, worker information, SCCA weekend membership information and more.
If you have any questions, you can search or post in the forums. There's a sub-forum specific to Tucson events if you have specific questions about the Arizona Border Region.
We also have a Novice Handout, which is available online (below) and usually in hard copy at events.

Participating in the "Novice" category is a choice that the driver makes when registering for an event. One does not have to participate in the Novice category when they begin autocross. The Novice category is intended to allow competition among less experienced drivers.
A participant can remain in the Novice category until:
- they win a series trophy, or
- they complete eight events (the equivalent of two full series). If a participant reaches the maximum of eight events before the event series is complete, the partipant may complete that series as a Novice without regard to the 8 event maximum. After that series is complete, the partipant is no longer eligle to compete as a Novice.
